Our teams story
Why this team?
This team commenced working together in a small central Queensland town where cowboys and miners ran wild and free many moons ago. We found we got along, had a giggle with each other and above all had the same vision. Grow a successful business utilising our vast skill base.
Marky made the move to consulting full time in 2019 and pushed Renee and Heidi off the cliff with him in 2021.
Why did it take us so long?

Life, its unpredictable. No one saw the work from home revolution coming, the flexibility this allowed us to work hours around our small families and the ability to bust out the computer and the top gun soundtrack after the kids went to sleep.
The Rubes worked in positions that saw us working from remote positions in the country away from family and friends, and the thought of working from home..... Not an option. So now we find ourselves in this happy spot. Working a hybrid model, from home and on site with our clients.

My name is Mark Reynolds, but the Rubes call me Marky
I love my family, appreciate good friends, cooking with fire and helping others to make a difference. I grew up a Phantom Phan and believe there is something to Sasquatch.
For me I believe that failing and learning are part of the journey of progress. The importance is to maximise one over the other. When you fall, get up and find a better way.
I'm an old man compared to my colleagues. I have a few decades on them and with that a vast knowledge base of working in and with large and small businesses in Australia and Overseas.
I am grateful for where these opportunities have taken me and the learnings they provided me.
I am a leader and team player to the core, still learning to listen (the girls and my family will attest to that), I understand the brutal truths that we can sometimes be blind to.
As I grow wiser (and older) I am looking to leave a broader legacy for others as the sun sets on my professional career. If my insights and experience can save you learning certain lessons the hard way or help you get clearer on your why, where, what and how? I would love to help you with that.

My name is Heidi Baillieu, but the Rubes call me Heids
While I may be younger than the old & wise Rube, I do bring over a decades worth of experience working in finance for Tier 1 Mining Companies and Companies in the Mining Services industry.
I am definetly not your usual accountant, while you may walk by me and see me deep in thought while analysing a spreadsheet looking like every other awkward accountant. What you actally see is me thinking about how I can push the envelope and help unlock new process to streamline the way you do business more effectively, while simultaneously singing Celine Dion in my head.
I hold and Undergraduate Degree in Legal and Dispute Studies and a Postgraduate Degree in Professional Accounting, while my husband and others like to make fun of my lack of simple math skills, I know how to run successful mining budgets and hold my peers to account. Whats my biggest drawcard I hear you ask? Well thats simple, my ability to change up my approach to explain complex numbers based on the skill base of my peers, let's face it, accounting is not for everyone, only the awkward.
In recent years I have been developing new ways for businesses to streamline reporting through Power BI. My aim is to help businesses to move away from spreadsheets that are clunky and instead unlock value through reporting that automatically updates and is available at the click of your fingers.
Like most in their 30’s I have embraced the world of social medial, expanding my skill base into social media and content marketing, I love helping businesses already in this space drive where they want to be and how they can get there through their content.

I am a Rube with over 15 years’ experience in Exploration and Mining Operations.
My focus over this time has been with tenement and exploration management. Outside of this I provide executive support to corporate and operational executives and execute all things compliance.
Like Heids I am a millennial who has dived into the world of all things digital. I love building website and my experience lies in wix and shopify. Outside of the world of digital content, I love riding horses and lying on the couch with my pig. Yes, you heard it right, we have a pig at our house.
I pride myself on my strong administration and compliance skills and my ability to work to deadlines while juggling family life.
My goals are to help your business achieve success in your tenement and exploration programs and provide administrative and digital support to help your business grow.
